First time ever there and to eat hibachi and it was great

Tasty, genuine feeling food. I liked it. The salmon melted in your mouth.

The cheesy sushi was a unique and flavorful experience.

I have visited this restaurant twice with great service and meal both times! I'm not very big on fish unless it's close to the coastal region, but I must say the Red Snapper was very delicious along with a very nice selection of sushi rolls to choose from I will be back!

Where this place really shines is its lunch specials, where for under $10 you can get so much food that you literally can't finish it. I swear during the last two years of college I came here almost every week because it's such a good value for your money if you want to go out to eat. The service is almost always good and the menu selection is fantastic. This is the best Japanese food in town, and honestly one of the better places I've been to in a long time in terms of quality of what you get. They always do a good job. The Hibachi is a little overpriced, so I always recommend you sit at the tables and not at the grill since you can order Hibachi lunch anyway from the table and I think it costs less. The sushi is pretty good but don't order anything raw because you're 6 hours from the nearest source of fresh seafood.

Good food and atmosphere. Service is hit or miss, though. Sometimes the hibachi chef puts on a great show, other times, you may get one who just cooks and does no tricks, jokes, etc. When you go for hibachi, your paying for the show, otherwise you'd get a regular table and order from the table menu.

Rude staff ignored me and my friends when we wanted to take pictures. The food was super salty too. I’m not sure what happened within the last 6 months, but this place went downhill.

The food was delicious, but the service was trash. Awesome sushi, and our food came out very quickly. But the man that was our server was rude and condescending. Anytime we asked for anything, he acted like it was a whole problem. I have been a server for Years, and I would never treat my customers that way. Maybe if he paid more attention to his service instead of chatting with coworkers, the experience may have been better.

My favorite place for sushi in Oxford, with a huge selection of rolls. The hibachi is fantastic as well. They may have a wait for tables during busy hours, but the lobby you'll be waiting in is gorgeous.

Fast lunch service with a smile. Good food

The food was great but the lady that asked for our order charged us for dinner when it was lunch she said she asked us but we did not even hear her ask us for dinner or lunch meals never going back to that place again.

Probably one of the best sushi values in Oxford. Not too expensive but still competently done.

Sat down for hibachi. Food was good, had issues with bill and service. Took 20 minutes to get my first drink from the bar. I ordered two hibachi meals, only got one meal. I was charged for both. Friend ordered a glass of wine and the price was higher than what was listed on the menu.

our family eats here once a month at least. we absolutely love the staff and the manager makes sure to talk to us each time we come in. all of the chefs are perfect and we look forward to going out to eat here! it's a great atmosphere for families! thank you for being great!

Let's be real, this 5 star review is for Mr Chan. However, that doesn't change the fact that Toyo is easily the best sushi restaurant for about a 50 mile radius. Cost/quality ratio = 👍👍

Amazing as always! Do the habachi if you can, it's always entertaining and exciting. I ate some of the udon noodles with chicken. Super tasty, feels like I'm in Japan! I also got the house sake (hot) and it taste so sweet you'll always drink more than you mean to, so make sure you share!

Food was great! We sat at one of the hibachi bars and the chef was very fun and nice. Would definitely take friends/family and go again.

Excellent service, decent Japanese food (for a town like Oxford), reasonably priced. The hibachi section is great for special occasions with kids, and the sushi menu has enough authentic dishes on it to keep even a purist reasonably happy. The kid's menu is probably the best in Oxford, offering everything from sushi to tempura to hibachi items. They slice the sushi roll on the kid's menu thin which allows even the littlest eater to be able to enjoy it.

I like to go during lunch, when they offer pretty good deals. I especially recommend the Hibachi side, where the chefs are always entertaining and accommodating towards children.

Delicious chicken hibachi dinner. I’ve gone a couple of times and the chefs are pretty interactive with the guests. The game to beat is who can catch the piece of egg in their mouth. I had the Mississippi sushi roll, but ate it too fast to take a picture. Great food and good atmosphere.

Fast, friendly service. The wait staff will explain dishes and customs to you if you ask. Substitutions can be made in some dishes. Reasonably priced. Good quality food. Family friendly.

They have nice lunch specials but the portion is kinda small. I'm a girl and I ordered the Banton box and I needed to ordered another plate of sushi to feel full.

Dynamite roll is dynamite! Lol especially with the dynamite sauce! I dip pretty much everything in that stuff!

Had at less 5 ppl walk pass me for 10 to 15 mins before I even got water and even longer to get somebody to take my order really sad and I usually dont have that kinda problem

Was interested in hibachi was seated first told I could wait for a larger party then asked to leave the area because I can't sit of I'm not in a party of 2 or more even if I was willing to wait. This is very disappointing considering I called before hand never asked to be seated and then to be asked to leave. Service here used be great. I'm not sure of I'm ever going back

Stopped in after going to Pet'smart,which is right around the corner from "Toyo"... The Sushi was great, reasonable priced and well presented. Our server wasn't great. But I will go back the next time I'm in the area.

I have been to many hibachi restaurants across Mississippi. I’ve tried Jackson, Tupelo, Grenada, Corinth, Meridian, Memphis, Southaven, and Oxford. This is by far the best sushi and hibachi restaurant I have been to. It is my favorite. The service is great, the hibachi is great and not over priced. And the sushi is the best sushi I have eaten yet. The sushi pizza is not on the menu, but it is the best $7 I have spent. It’s amazing food, and awesome service for the right price. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome dining experience, and delicious Japanese cuisine.

Always amazing. I generally order takeout and the people at the front are so kind and always have my order correct. The one time my order was wrong they gave me a free drink and sauces to make up for it.
